Uses of isoctane:
Organic synthesis. The solvent. The octane number of fuel oil was determined by mixing with n-heptane proportionally. Standard for gas chromatographic analysis. The thinner.
Safety Measures:
Store in low temperature ventilated place, away from flame, heat source. And oxidizer, edible chemicals and other storage. Do not use tools that cause sparks.
Fire suppression: foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand. Water column is prohibited.
