The majority of solvent oil No. 6 is an alkane compound with different distillation ranges and compositions. The main components are as follows:
1. The content of n-hexane is about 30%;
2. 2,4-dimethylpentane is approximately 18%;
3. 2,3-dimethylbutane is approximately 18%;
4. Cyclopentane is about 10%;
5. Cyclohexane is about 8%;
6. Benzene is about 4%;
7. N-pentane is about 2%.
